My Approach

Heather Cromartie exists because lasting change is possible — and because most people never receive the support that makes it real. This page explains who I am, how I work, and why I believe what I believe.

My Story

I exist because most people are capable of far more than they have been shown how to access.

Conscious Wellness Group was founded on a simple but deeply held conviction: that the gap between where most people are and where they are capable of being is not a gap of talent, intelligence, or effort. It is a gap of awareness, belief, and support.

Too many people spend years — sometimes decades — working hard, trying different strategies, and still finding themselves circling the same ground. Not because they are broken, but because the real obstacles are rarely the ones that are visible. They live in the stories we tell about ourselves, the beliefs we formed before we knew we were forming them, and the patterns we repeat because they once kept us safe.

My mission is to help people see those obstacles clearly — and to provide the tools, the space, and the support to move through them. Not with a formula, not with a script, but with a process that meets each person where they actually are and helps them build toward where they genuinely want to be.

I believe in the capacity of every person to grow, to change, and to create a life that feels genuinely theirs. That belief is not a marketing statement — it is the reason this work exists.

My Method

A process that works at the level where change actually happens.

The transformation process I use moves through six interconnected stages. Each stage builds on the one before it — and together they create the conditions for change that is not just felt in the moment, but lived over time.

  1. 01

    Awareness

Change begins with seeing clearly. Before anything shifts, you need an honest picture of where you are — your patterns, your defaults, the stories you carry. Awareness is not judgment; it is the light that makes everything else possible.

  2. 02

    Beliefs

Beneath every behavior is a belief. Most of the beliefs that shape our choices were formed long before we had the awareness to examine them. This stage surfaces those beliefs — the ones that serve you and the ones that quietly hold you back.

  3. 03

    Identity & Patterns

How we see ourselves determines what we allow ourselves to do. Alongside beliefs, we look at the patterns — the recurring behaviors, reactions, and dynamics — that reflect and reinforce your current identity. Understanding both is what makes change stick.

  4. 04

    Conscious Choice

With clarity about your beliefs and patterns, you arrive at genuine choice — not reaction, not habit, not the path of least resistance. Conscious choice is the pivot point: the moment you decide who you are choosing to be.

  5. 05

    Aligned Action

Insight without action is just interesting. This stage is about translating your clarity into deliberate, consistent steps — actions that are congruent with the identity you are building and the life you are designing.

  6. 06

    Lasting Change

The goal is never a single breakthrough — it is a new baseline. When awareness, belief, identity, choice, and action align, change stops being effortful and becomes natural. This is what lasting transformation looks like.

Why It Works

Grounded in established principles of coaching and behavior change.

The approach is not proprietary or invented. It draws on well-established principles from the fields of coaching, behavior change, and personal development — principles that have been refined through practice and proven through results.

It works at the level of identity, not just behavior

Most change efforts focus on what you do. This approach focuses on who you are. When your sense of self shifts, behavior follows — because you are no longer fighting your own self-concept. You are acting in alignment with it.

It addresses the root, not the symptom

Repeating patterns and persistent struggles are rarely random. They are usually the surface expression of deeper beliefs and unmet needs. By working at that level, the changes that emerge are more durable than those produced by willpower alone.

It makes the unconscious conscious

A great deal of what drives our choices operates below the level of awareness. The coaching process brings those drivers into view — not to analyze them endlessly, but to give you the choice of whether to keep them.

It respects your own wisdom

This is not a prescriptive event. The coach does not tell you what your life should look like. The process is designed to help you access your own clarity — because the answers that come from within are the ones that last.

It builds capacity, not dependency

The aim is not to need coaching indefinitely. Each stage of the process builds skills — self-awareness, belief examination, pattern recognition, conscious decision-making — that become yours to keep and use independently.

It holds the whole person

Life does not divide neatly into categories. A shift in how you see yourself affects your relationships, your work, your health, your sense of purpose. The approach holds all of that — because real transformation is never just one thing.

My Philosophy

The principles that guide everything I do.

These are not aspirational values on a wall. They are the operating principles behind every coaching conversation, every event, and every decision about how this work is done.

Conscious Choice

You are always choosing

Even inaction is a choice. Even staying the same is a choice. The work of conscious living is not about making perfect decisions — it is about making deliberate ones. When you choose with awareness, you reclaim authorship of your own life.

Expanding Awareness

You cannot change what you cannot see

Awareness is the foundation of everything. Not the awareness that judges or criticizes — the awareness that simply sees. The more clearly you can observe your own patterns, beliefs, and reactions, the more freedom you have to respond differently.

Authenticity

The most sustainable version of you is the real one

Performing a version of yourself shaped by others' expectations is exhausting and ultimately unsustainable. Authenticity is not a personality trait — it is a practice. It means continually asking: is this actually mine, or am I carrying it for someone else?

Human Potential

Growth is not a destination

Human beings are not fixed. The capacity to learn, to change, to expand — that capacity does not expire. We believe deeply in the potential of every person to grow beyond where they are, regardless of where they have been.

Personal Responsibility

Ownership is the beginning of power

Taking responsibility for your life — not blame, not guilt, but genuine ownership — is one of the most empowering moves available to you. It means the story is not over. It means you have a role in what comes next.

Compassion

Harshness does not produce lasting change

Self-criticism and shame are poor motivators. They create movement, but not the kind that lasts. Compassion — toward yourself and your history — creates the safety that real change requires. You cannot grow from a place of self-rejection.

Freedom of Choice

Your life is yours to design

We hold no agenda for what your life should look like. Our role is to help you get clear on what you want, understand what is in the way, and support you in moving toward it. The direction is always yours. The choices are always yours.
